Quality Matters is a faculty-driven, peer review process designed to recognize online courses that meet the highest standards of quality course design in order to facilitate student-centered learning and success.
To earn national recognition a team consisting of three certified peer reviewers conduct a formal review of the course guided by a research-based rubric for online course design.
The rubric is consists of eight general standards which include: Course Overview and Introduction, Learning Objectives, Instructional Materials, Learner Support, Accessibility and Usability, Course Activities, Learner Interaction and Engagement, and Assessment and Measurement.
