Hello and welcome back to campus. We wanted to share a few new changes to the library and ID card center. To support the continued health and safety of everyone in the Nelson Poynter Memorial Library, we have implemented a new USF ID card swipe system at the library entrance. Only current USF students, staff, and faculty are allowed in the USF Library at this time. This will require you to have your ID card with you at all times if you want to visit the library or the faculty support units housed in the library. This includes OLITS (InEd St. Pete) and CITL.
This will require changes to how the ID card center operates and how you get your USF ID card. Please remember that it is the policy of the University of South Florida that all Students, Faculty, Administrative and Professional (A&P), University Support Personnel System (USPS) and OPS personnel must obtain and carry the USF ID card while on-site.
Starting now, all faculty, staff and students will submit their own photo and complete the application online. For the best and easiest experience, it is recommended that you use a smartphone or mobile device to complete the process.
For more guidance on card request please see ID Request Instructions.
Upon approval, your card can be picked up at the University Student Center during normal hours. Cards are printed and ready for pickup every three hours starting at 9 AM, Monday - Friday. For example, if you submit your application at 10 AM, it will not be ready for pickup until after 12 PM. Applications submitted after 6 PM, will be available the next business day (Mon-Fri). This is a pickup site only. Any students, faculty or staff having issues with their USFCard should contact one of the IDCard offices listed below.
Don't Forget! – You must present a valid government-issued photo ID to receive your USFCard.
Students: Your card cost will be charged to your Oasis account.
