NAICS / SIC Manuals

The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is used by the Federal Government to collect, analyse, and publish information about industries. Companies are assigned one or more NAICS Codes to represent their business. You can use the codes in many library databases as well as government statistical products to find information on the industry. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code predates the NAICS Code, but some databases still use it.
