The Student Success Center's mission is to help students achieve their highest learning potential by assisting them in developing strong, lifelong learning strategies and skills in a safe and positive environment.. The center offers free tutoring, workshops, and resources for all students in the content areas of Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Foreign Language, Writing, and Study Skills. Their space also includes a study center, computer lab, and free printing.

Smarthinking is an online tutoring service available to all students at USF. This is a great resource for students who are unable to make it to campus to talk to a tutor.
Before using Smarthinking, be sure to make every effort to utilize the free tutoring services offered through the Student Success Center because Smarthinking sessions are not unlimited. Students are given approximately two hours of Smarthinking each semester.
Your Smarthinking account is connected to your MyUSF access. You may be eligible to receive additional time for Smarthinking based on your situation. To inquire about extra tutoring minutes call USF Tampa’s Academic Success Center, (813) 974-2713 to speak with an administrator who can help with adding minutes.

The Debbie Nye Sembler Student Success Center also offers online writing tutoring. Writing tutoring is not a grammar and spell check service, but tutors will help you address the organization, effectiveness of delivery, and clarity of argument of your writing.
