Online Learning Accessibility Resources for Students

Online Learning and Instructional Technology Services strives to ensure that both our website and the courses created with support from our office are accessible to all, including individuals with disabilities. Students wishing to report an inaccessible feature within an online course or request more information about accessibility within  USF St. Petersburg online learning courses, please contact David Brodosi at 727-873-4126.

Distance Learning courses are currently offered through Instructure Canvas, which received Gold Level certification for accessibility from the National Federation for the Blind. For information about the accessibility of this Learning Management System, visit Canvas’s Accessibility Webpage.

Library Accessibility Access Services

The Nelson Poynter Library provides supports students with disabilities in a variety of ways including assistance with book retrieval and an Assistive Technology room with a CCTV, OCR scanner, adjustable height work station and a computer equipped with screen reading, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, screen enlargement software, and large print keyboard. Student Disability Services

The mission of Student Disability Services is to create and maintain an environment at the university that is supportive to students with special needs and will grant academic accommodations to students with documented disabilities, providing them with an equal chance of academic success. Free Assistive Technology Tools
