Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) operates as a distinct unit within the Nelson Poynter Memorial Library at USF St. Petersburg. We are home to over 150 special collections (rare books, personal papers, and manuscripts) and 3,600 non-circulating books related to Florida Studies, marine and environmental sciences, journalism and media studies, literature and humanities, civil rights, LGBTQ+ studies, and the campus institutional archives. SCUA also has a selection of digital collections of print and born digital materials on the Digital Commons repository.
Access to Special Collections is by appointment only and requires 24 hours advanced notice. Chose the appropriate appointment type below and select Nelson Poynter Memorial Library or St. Petersburg as the location:
